About Us

My name is Ryan Knickerbocker and I was fortunate enough to grow up with  a family cabin on a lake, so my passion for lakes and everything related to the water began at a very young age.

Fast forward a few years and I joined a local dock and lift company. For the next 16 years--minus one year when I was deployed to Afghanistan--I made my office in the form of a 30’ barge and stood resilient against all of Mother Nature’s elements, installing, removing, and servicing lakefront equipment.

 

This job is not for the faint of heart, but between my passion for the lake, the drive to provide extraordinary customer service and dedication to lakefront homeowners, and knowing that lakefront services can always use more companies to bring reliability and affordability to the Big Lake and surrounding area, I decided to take the leap to branch out on my own. And so IMPERIUM Dock and Lift was created.
